Reptiles Reptiles kept as pets get arthritis as they get older. They may limp or show a reluctance to move. When they are in pain, they may stop eating, show signs of restlessness or act aggressive. Considerably less research has been done on how to relieve the pain of reptiles and amphibians. Vets give them analgesics such as ketamine for pet pain relief.

When pet reptiles, rabbits, cats, dogs, ferrets, or birds show signs of arthritis, owners should be sure to get pet pain relief in the proper dosage for their size.
