The Variety Of Microsoft Software Available
If you say Microsoft to a person chances are they know what you are talking about. Microsoft software is in use in every part of the world from the biggest multinational companies to a small hut in Tibet. The Microsoft range is capable of allowing almost anything to occur whether it be surfing the internet or watching a movie to producing a business plan or hosting a web conference.
Microsoft currently sell three different operating systems; they are 7, Vista and XP. The latest of these is Windows 7, and for this Microsoft have been accepting a lot of praise. It is a return to form for Microsoft as their OS previous to this spectacularly underperformed.
Windows 7 is the latest OS its name because of the number of versions of Windows that have preceded it. Over the past few years the name Windows has been treated with contempt by many people within the industry, due to the slow speeds that the old OS’s performed at, fortunately Microsoft have returned to top form producing an OS that not only delivers fast processing speeds but also has security as a paramount. The software coding has been completely re-written and has finally outperformed the Mac OS in system tests.
Vista was Microsoft’s last OS release and unfortunately for them it did not perform to the standards expected prompting the earlier release of Windows 7. Vista provided slower operating speeds and raised a host of security errors which led to many hackers being able to quickly and easily access Vista operated machines. It may be perhaps one of the best Microsoft software on the market.
The next OS I will mention precedes Vista and that is XP, it was released a couple of years into the 21st Century and performed immensely well considering that all the releases since windows 98 had been released merely added additions functions to the OS. After XP Microsoft realized that they could no longer keep making additions to the windows 98 core software and as such steps were taken to create windows 7 using the latest programming techniques and coding.
Microsoft Office 10 is the latest version of the Microsoft Office range. Office is a document processing suite that includes several programs; these are Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Outlook and Publisher. Word is a text document editor that allows for professional formatting of word documents. Excel is a powerful mathematical program that is able to produce various result charts based on tables of data. Outlook can be used as both an organizer and an Email client allowing for the retrieval of emails from various online accounts.
The Apple software usually is adopted by graphic designers and engineers due to the speed of processing that the Mac OS offers but since the release of 7 don’t be surprised to see this figure fall as many turn to Windows. Just remember that both Apple and Microsoft are not cheap software.
Linux software is an open source OS which basically means that you can add functions to it. As such this OS is only used by programmers and people with a good knowledge of software coding and a high level of programming skill.
