Be Aware Of Boating Laws In Canada
In Canada, recreational boating is a popular pastime that is enjoyed by millions of residents as well as people visiting the country. On September 15, 2009, the Canadian Government implemented the Competency of Operators of Pleasure Craft Regulations. These regulations mandate that people who operate recreational watercrafts that are equipped with a motor used for recreational purposes must have proof of competency. This means they must have specific documentation to operate the watercraft. Without proof of competency, a boater can receive a fine of up to carry $250.
